The play is his account of an idealistic youth, wounded survivor, devoted father and philosophical elder. The play is a poetic slice of biography and as it does not simply recount facts but is told in Albie’s voice recounting experiences of being a son, a father and an activist.

Albie is an inspiring figure who overcame great odds – and the audience should leave, not just with knowledge, but feeing transformed by the experience.
